Source 2: Bank Negara Malaysia Exchange Rate
Note 1 : The expected RON95 price is calculated based on the average Mogas 95 price and average MYR/USD exchange rate from a Wednesday to the Tuesday next week. For example, the RON95 price with effective from 1 June 2017 is calculated based on the average price from 24 May 2017 to 30 May 2017.
Note 2 : Our Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister had announced the intention to have a new formula to fix fuel prices in order to ensure stability in the domestic oil industry. This is very likely due to the sustained losses faced by the petrol station operators due to the downward trend of the oil price. Currently, the new formula was still being studied. As such, the impact towards the estimated calculation of RON95 price is still unclear. You can read more via the link below (The Star's news dated 16 June 2017 and 20 June 2017).
